Riverview
residential centre, in partnership with H.S.E. South, provides
short to medium term (3 - 6 months) accommodation within
a caring and nurturing environment for girls who are out
of home aged 15 - 18 years. The centre has a capacity for
six girls who are at risk of becoming homeless.
Goal
of Riverview
- To
provide a caring service for girls who are homeless
- To
assess their situation in relation to homelessness and
plan future options
- To
build up each individual's self confidence
- To
motivate each resident in completing their education or
to see employment
- To
work in liaison with other agencies
Programme
While
resident in Riverview, each young person will attend an
appropriate day placement such as school or training centre.
This is organised prior to the young person's admission.
